I was excited to learn last week that my poetry manuscript, System of Ghosts, was selected by judge and former poet laureate of the United States, Philip Levine, as one of five finalists of the Philip Levine Prize in Poetry. The Philip Levine Prize is sponsored by the the MFA program in Creative Writing at California State University, Fresno and Anhinga Press. Congratulations to the other finalists and to the winner Chelsea Wagenaar for her manuscript, Mercy Spurs the Bone.
