Finalist for the Foreword INDIES Book, Finalist for Eric Hoffer First Horizon Award, New review in Birmingham Poetry Review, Recent Readings

forwardindiesWas excited to learn that System of Ghosts is a finalist for the Foreword INDIES Book Award for best 2016 poetry book by an independent press. The book is also a finalist for Eric Hoffer First Horizon Award for a book by a debut author.

There is a generous, intelligent new review of System of Ghosts in the current print issue of Birmingham Poetry Review.

Recent interview up at the Sundress Lyric Essentials blog about a Margaret Hasse poem that has meant something to me. Thanks to Chris Petruccelli for making this happen.

Recently had such a lovely time in Knoxville for the SAFTA Reading Series and in Madison for Watershed Reading Series, the “Nasty Woman” reading to benefit Planned Parenthood Wisconsin. Also read right in Athens, GA as a part of “Run, Run, Exit, Poetry.” Heading to Ames, Iowa today for the Iowa State MFA Program Home Voices Alumni Festival and heading to Nashville next weekend for Idle Hour reading series, part of the Porch Collective.
